Professional Bio

Juan Pablo Barrero Flores is a PhD student in philosophy. He completed a BA in Physics (2019) and a BS in Philosophy (2020) at the Universidad de los Andes in Colombia. He further pursued his studies at KU Leuven in Belgium, where he earned a Philosophy MA (2022) and a Research MA (2023). His master's research concentrated on self-identity, empathy, intersubjectivity, and ethics within Husserlian phenomenology. Juan Pablo's research interests lie primarily in phenomenology, existential philosophy, and Latin American philosophies. He focuses on exploring the intersections between conceptions of the self, the other, political theory, and ethical considerations.
