I am eager to pursue Penn State’s Dual-Title Ph.D. in Philosophy and African American and
Diaspora Studies. I hold a B.A. in Philosophy with double minors in Social Welfare and Justice
and Criminology and Law Studies from Marquette University. My areas of interest on a more
broader scope include Social Phenomenology, Critical Race and Ethnicity, Black Feminist
Philosophy, Intersectionality, and Carceral Studies. In particular, I am interested in continuing
research on cultural expressions and political ideologies in the black community, black
transfeminism, and critical resistance.
