Professor John Sallis

Professor John Sallis, Boston College, passed away on February 18, 2025, at age 87. He was a renowned scholar in phenomenology (in particular, in Heidegger) and ancient Greek philosophy. Professor Sallis was a faculty member in the Penn State Philosophy Department from 1996 to 2005. His work influenced many philosophers working in the continental tradition.
