Philosophy Department to be part of new $3.1 million Grant from the Andrew W. Mellon Foundation
The Department of Philosophy will be part of a new $3.1 million grant recently awarded to the College of the Liberal Arts by The Andrew W. Mellon Foundation. The grant will be directed toward a project titled “Just Transformations: A College of the Liberal Arts Initiative Toward Building and Sustaining Diverse Communities in Higher Education,” which will enable the Department of Philosophy to continue our ongoing diversity initiatives while providing new collaboration opportunities with other units in the college (including the Humanities Institute, the Center for Black Digital Research, and the departments of African American Studies, English, and History).
