Philosophy Doctoral Program alumna, Aminah Hasan-Birdwell, wins prestigious award in the history of philosophy

Aminah Hasan-Birdwell was awarded the 2025 Beaney Prize for the best paper published in the British Journal for the History of Philosophy that contributes to a broader conception of the philosophical canon for her 2024 article titled, “Ottobah Cugoano on chattel slavery and the moral limitations of ius gentium.”
