CHIASMI INTERNATIONAL
Trilingual Studies Concerning the Thought of
Merleau-Ponty
Founded by Mauro Carbone in 1995, Chiasmi was devoted to the thought of French philosopher Maurice Merleau-Ponty. Three years later, Dr. Carbone contacted Renaud Barbaras in France and Leonard Lawlor in the United States to help transform the Italian journal into the international, tri-lingual publication it is today. Since 1999 Chiasmi International has striven to annually present not only the most recent research being done on Merleau-Ponty, but also the most recent philosophy inspired by his thought. This goal has also led the editors to publish essays on or inspired by philosophers who influenced or responded to Merleau-Ponty. Most recently, Issue 7 has a section devoted to the thought of Gilbert Simondon. In 2003, Chiasmi International began publishing a series of supplementary books under the imprint Cahiers de Chiasmi International (Notebooks from Chiasmi International). The editors welcome submissions for the journal and the Notebooks series. Submissions are refereed.
